Movie Synopsis & Review

The King’s Speech tells the story of the person who grew to become King George VI, the daddy of Queen Elizabeth II. After his brother abdicates, George (‘Bertie’) reluctantly assumes the throne. Tormented by a dreaded stutter and thought of unfit to be king, Bertie engages the assistance of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue. By way of a set of sudden methods, and on account of an unlikely friendship, Bertie is ready to discover his voice and boldly lead the nation into struggle.
